HER ROYAL HIGHNESS GENERAL PRINCESS ANNE, ROYAL, President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, traveled to Cape Town in South Africa recently. HRH Princess Anne, paid tribute to 1,700 black South African servicemen who died without having a known grave during the First World War. Those recognized were killed served in non-combat roles. The Ceremony took place at the inauguration of the Cape Town Labour Corps to honour them.

HRH, in her role as President of the Riding for the Disabled Association since 1971, firstly visited the Cape Town-based organization South African Riding for the Disabled Association.
The charity, much like their UK counterpart, uses horse riding to help children and adults with physical disabilities to improve their wellbeing. During the visit The Princess Royal watched riders being put through their paces and chatted to staff, volunteers and those being helped through the charity.
